As new generations begin their professional careers, it’s common for older generations to view their differences with doubt and criticism. At some point, each generation entering adulthood is unfairly framed as “lazy” or “entitled” to some degree by older coworkers. It’s not surprising that each generation is influenced by the cultural, technological, and global events of their time, which shape their worldview and perspectives differently. While every individual is unique, world events collectively shape the features of each generation—even as individuals have their own personal characteristics.
