I recently received an email from author, speaker, and resilience and leadership expert Anne Grady that resonated with me. She wrote about the importance of self-empathy—how easy it is to extend grace to  others while remaining our harshest critics. It was a reminder I desperately needed, and a lesson every leader should internalize, especially working in the fast-paced, high-stakes environment of an ophthalmology practice.
