ASOA
Offers Free Use of CareerNet to Help
Ophthalmic Professionals
Displaced by Katrina
Fairfax,
VA — The American Society
of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA)
today announced that it would offer
free use of its Web-based CareerNet
to help ophthalmic professionals dislocated
by Hurricane Katrina.
“We
realize that many ophthalmic professionals
are still unemployed and looking to
relocate after the destruction of their
practices,” said Eileen Giaimo,
Executive Director for ASOA, adding,
we hope this will help to ease their
transitions.”
CareerNet
can be accessed by going to the ASOA
home page, www.asoa.org,
and selecting it from under the “services”
drop-down menu. Numerous jobs are also
posted in the “Katrina Assistance:
Jobs - Positions Wanted” document
posted under News Updates on the ASOA
home page. One need not be a member
of ASOA to avail themselves of these
services. The free use of CareerNet
will extend through the end of 2005.
