New MIPS Resources: 2018 MIPS Small Practice Guide; EyeTalks Podcast on Key Changes to MIPS for 2018 and New Details on the Four MIPS Categories


ASCRS•ASOA released new resources that have been added to the MACRA Center, including a 2018 MIPS guide for small practices. This guide features key MIPS program accommodations for small practices including extended transition flexibility, bonus points, special scoring, reduced reporting requirements, and a hardship exemption for the Advancing Care Information Category.

In addition, listen to the latest episode of ASOA EyeTalks Radio, MACRA and MIPS in 2018. ASCRS Director of Government Relations Nancey McCann discusses what you need to do to succeed under the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). During the podcast, Ms. McCann goes into detail about the four MIPS categories, cataract episode-based measures, and outlines the key changes in the final rule for 2018 that will affect your practice.
