Tamim Qaum MD, CPE, COE, CASC, FAWM, CPHIMS, CPPS, CPHIT, CPEHR, CPHIE, CSSGB, OCS is a general ophthalmologist at Martinsburg Eye Associates, a group practice in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Dr. Qaum graduated from the Harvard Medical School with an MD degree with honors. He then completed ophthalmology residency training at the Duke Eye Center. He serves on the National Board for the Certification of Ophthalmic Executives, and has served on the Editorial Board of Administrative Eyecare magazine and on the National Policy and Procedures Committee of the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators. His research was the first to demonstrate that anti-VEGF therapy can be used to reverse damage from certain retinal diseases such as diabetes and macular degeneration. This research was ranked as one of the Top 50 Most Frequently Cited Articles in Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science. This therapy has helped prevent blindness in over two million people worldwide. Dr. Qaum has received numerous accolades in his local community. Most recently, he received an inaugural Health Care Hero Award from the Wichita Business Journal, received a Humanitarian Award from Inter-Faith Ministries of Wichita, and received a letter of commendation from Kansas Governor Sam Brownback.
